TechFlow, May 30 — According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand, starting June 28, 2025, access to five unlicensed cryptocurrency trading platforms—Bybit, 1000X, CoinEx, OKX, and XT.COM—will be blocked.
The move is based on the "Act on Prevention and Suppression of Technological Crime (No. 2)," effective April 13, 2025, aiming to protect investor rights and prevent illegal platforms from being used as channels for money laundering. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand will be responsible for enforcing the blocking measures. The SEC advises investors holding assets on these platforms to manage their assets appropriately before the block takes effect.
