TechFlow news, May 20 — According to Eleanor Terrett's disclosure, the U.S. Senate's procedural vote on the GENIUS stablecoin bill took a dramatic turn. Although more than 15 Democratic lawmakers, including Cortez Masto, Adam Schiff, Mark Warner, and Ruben Gallego, switched from opposition to support, Senator Warnock suddenly changed his vote from "yes" to "no," reducing the number of supporting votes to 59. Under U.S. Senate rules, such procedural votes require 60 votes to end debate and advance the bill.
