TechFlow, May 14 — According to Bitcoin.com, on May 13 the department issued a notice warning residents to beware of a phone scam involving bitcoin. The scammers impersonated officials from the Ministry of Finance, used spoofed official phone numbers, falsely claimed victims’ identities had been stolen, and induced them to transfer funds from their bank accounts to bitcoin wallets.
