TechFlow news, May 7 — According to BeInCrypto, Netflix is planning to produce a film based on the 2022 FTX collapse. Oscar-winning screenwriter Graham Moore may be adapting the screenplay. The project is reportedly set to use a love story as its narrative framework to depict the rise and fall of FTX.
Julia Garner is currently in talks to portray Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, while Evan Peters may play FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, though his involvement has not yet been confirmed. Garner previously won three Emmy Awards for her role in the popular Netflix series "Ozark" and received widespread acclaim for her portrayal of digital con artist Anna Delvey.
The project remains in early development, with no formal contracts signed. Industry insiders note that major events in the crypto industry continue to attract interest from filmmakers, though some projects may end up in "development hell" and ultimately fail to materialize.
