TechFlow news, on May 7, Sapien, the open protocol connecting human intelligence with AI systems, announced the official launch of Sapien Squad. The initiative will launch on the Base network and aims to unite the earliest and most active communities within the ecosystem to collectively build a shared data factory supporting real-world AI systems.
The first phase begins with the Toshi community and launches today. Sapien has taken a snapshot of the 100,000 wallets with the highest recent activity and engagement in the Toshi ecosystem, from which 50,000 wallets can claim a Sapien Squad badge on a first-come, first-served basis. This badge is an NFT that confirms eligibility for an airdrop and unlocks access to subsequent tasks, mints, and rewards.

Eligible wallets can mint for free, with one Sapien Squad badge per wallet available during the Toshi phase.
Sapien Squad aims to unite multiple communities across the Base network into a decentralized AI super-team (MegaZord): each community contributes its unique energy, spirit, and members to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. The ultimate goal is to build an open, human-driven data factory that makes AI more transparent, diverse, and practical.
