TechFlow, April 23 — According to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase plans to expand its operations in Charlotte, North Carolina, by hiring over 130 employees. These positions will primarily focus on compliance and customer support, with recruitment expected to be completed within the next six months.
A Coinbase spokesperson said the company chose to establish a new physical office in Charlotte due to the city's potential as a fintech hub. Notably, Coinbase has adopted a remote-first work model since 2020, with approximately 95% of employees having the option to work from home, from the office, or through a hybrid arrangement.
