TechFlow news, April 23 — According to The Block, Paul Atkins, the newly appointed chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said during his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday that he will provide a clear regulatory foundation for digital assets, adopting a "rational, coherent, and principled" approach to regulation. This marks a significant shift in the SEC's regulatory direction, contrasting sharply with the strict stance of his predecessor, Gary Gensler. Atkins emphasized: "Under my leadership at the SEC, I can confidently say we are entering a new era." The SEC has established a cryptocurrency task force and held roundtable discussions aimed at bringing greater regulatory clarity to the crypto asset space.
