TechFlow news, April 7 — According to Jinshi Data, UBS analysts said in a research report that in the resilient retail sector, industry participants expect suppliers, retailers, and consumers to roughly share the additional costs from tariffs equally. However, this trend will not occur in a linear fashion. "The higher the tariffs, the more likely it is that consumers will bear the increased costs," analysts stated, adding that on average each household would need to absorb about $775 in higher retail prices. Given that approximately two-thirds of American households have annual incomes at or below $100,000, such costs could be substantial for most families, analysts said.
