TechFlow news — On March 31, according to Decrypt, Elon Musk stated during a town hall meeting at America PAC in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on March 30 that the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) has no connection with the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, and the government has no plans to use the cryptocurrency.
Although the D.O.G.E. website briefly displayed Dogecoin's Shiba Inu mascot in February—causing Dogecoin’s market cap to surge 14% to $58 billion—Musk emphasized that this was merely a coincidence in naming.
