TechFlow reported on March 28 that Sonic Labs announced the upcoming mainnet launch of its new consensus protocol, SonicCS 2.0. Experimental data shows that compared to the previous version, SonicCS 1.0, SonicCS 2.0 achieves an average speed improvement of 2x and reduces memory usage by 68%.
Built on a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) architecture, the protocol supports overlapping elections to significantly enhance computational efficiency, while employing a 0-1 matrix to optimize the voting structure for more efficient election calculations.
