TechFlow reports on March 17 that SlowMist's Yu Xian revealed multiple users mistakenly transferred funds to Magma project's contract address on the Monad testnet due to failure in switching to the correct network environment.
Through analyzing transaction data and smart contract code, Yu Xian confirmed these erroneous transfers occurred when users executed functions such as depositMon() and withdrawMon() for the Magma project across various blockchains including Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, without properly switching to the Monad testnet. This issue may stem from inadequate network-switching mechanisms in wallet applications or the project's frontend interface.
Yu Xian suggested that the project team could implement a fund recovery mechanism by deploying corresponding contracts on the relevant blockchains. Affected users should directly contact the Magma project team for assistance.
