TechFlow News — On March 15, according to Jinshi Data citing NBC News, U.S. Vice President Vance acknowledged on Friday that Musk made "mistakes" during the mass firing of federal employees, emphasizing that he believes "many outstanding individuals work in government." Vance's more moderate tone stands in stark contrast to Musk's aggressive approach.
During the first seven weeks of Trump’s second presidential term, thousands of government workers were dismissed—a central focus of Musk’s efforts. These layoffs have triggered multiple lawsuits and faced resistance from judges. Musk has broadly described federal staff as "scammers," claiming they are untrustworthy and incapable of performing their duties. When asked about Musk’s remarks, Vance responded: "I think clearly there are some people who just collect paychecks without doing work. But how many such people are there? I don't know—out of a federal workforce of 3 million, is it a few thousand, or significantly more? However, that doesn't negate or diminish the fact that there are indeed many excellent civil servants carrying out important work."
