TechFlow news — On March 14, Dan Romero, co-founder of Farcaster, announced on social media that Farcaster is launching an airdrop system, with the first ecosystem airdrop scheduled for release next week.
The system will collaborate with developers and projects interested in conducting airdrops for their users, clearly defining the goals these developers aim to achieve through the distribution. Users must meet two conditions: "opting-in" and "performing desired actions" (such as using Frames or engaging in channel interactions) to build a strong user reputation and qualify for future airdrops.
Romero noted that users who opt in but fail to perform the desired actions will be flagged as ones "to avoid airdropping to." Although developers retain full control over their target audience (as data access is permissionless), he expects airdrops on Farcaster to increasingly reward genuine usage behavior and future ecosystem participation.
