TechFlow News — On March 13, Virtuals Protocol announced the official launch of the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP), aiming to build a commercial ecosystem composed of AI agents. The protocol will enable autonomous interaction, collaboration, and transactions among AI agents, forming what it calls the "Virtuals Nation."
The ACP framework consists of three core components: an AI agent index registry (a Yelp-like review system for AI agents), an AI agent business interaction system (facilitating collaboration and evaluation among agents), and an AI agent monetary transaction system (enabling transactions via smart contracts). Currently, Virtuals Protocol hosts approximately 17,000 AI agents spanning multiple industry sectors.
Notably, Virtuals Protocol plans to launch two business clusters within the next month: an autonomous hedge fund and trading DAO (in collaboration with projects such as aixbt_agent and AIxVC_io), and an autonomous media company (partnering with luna_virtuals, MusicByVirtuals, and others). Additionally, the project will host a hackathon to encourage developers to build more innovative AI agent business clusters, such as AI-driven Hollywood studios and AI-powered sports entertainment ventures.
