TechFlow reported on March 12, according to CoinDesk, Sony's blockchain division has announced a partnership with Japanese social media giant LINE to integrate four mini apps from the LINE platform onto Sony's Soneium blockchain network. As per the announcement, this collaboration involves the games Sleepagotchi, Farm Frens, Puffy Match, and Pocket Mob, aiming to enable in-game rewards and purchases.
The LINE platform has approximately 200 million active users. Jun Watanabe, Chairman of Sony Block Solutions Labs, said: "LINE has established a strong market presence. Integrating successful mini apps into the Soneium ecosystem is the next step toward making Soneium more accessible. We believe this partnership will drive user engagement and adoption in ways previously unseen."
Soneium is a blockchain initiative co-managed by Sony and Singapore-based Startale Labs, officially launched in January this year.
