TechFlow news, March 11 — Former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan posted on X stating that the U.S. "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) strategy contains four critical misjudgments, which could undermine America's global leadership and indirectly benefit China's rise.
The four misjudgments include: attributing the decline of the U.S. economic standing to economic competition itself rather than lack of competitiveness; blaming overseas military conflicts on global leadership per se instead of poor leadership; treating all non-supporters as enemies; and failing to understand that the foundation of the dollar's global circulation is America's global influence.
The analysis指出 that the MAGA strategy focuses on stopping capital outflows, shutting down imports, exiting international institutions, and withdrawing from wars—but such approaches may backfire.
