TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, the Russia-backed hacker group "Dark Storm" has claimed responsibility for a large-scale cyberattack on the X platform. At the peak of the attack, Downdetector recorded nearly 40,000 users unable to access the platform, though X owner Musk stated that user functionality was quickly restored.
Cybersecurity organization SpyoSecure said in a post on March 10 that the hacker group Dark Storm admitted via a Telegram message—issued by the group's leader—to carrying out the distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. The Telegram channel was subsequently removed for violating platform terms of service. Ed Krassenstein, co-founder of NFT marketplace NFTz.me, said he contacted the leader of Dark Storm, who described the attack as merely a "demonstration of strength" with no political motive.
