TechFlow news, March 7 — The U.S. Department of Labor will release the U.S. February unemployment rate at 21:30 tonight. The market expects it to remain unchanged at 4%, consistent with the previous value. The seasonally adjusted non-farm payroll employment data for February will also be released, with a forecast of 160,000, higher than the prior figure of 143,000.
According to CME's "FedWatch" data, ahead of the unemployment rate announcement, the market assigns a 9% probability to a 25-basis-point rate cut by the Federal Reserve in March, while the probability of holding rates steady stands at 91%.
