TechFlow news, March 6 — According to CryptoSlate, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said that blockchain technology will ultimately become the infrastructure for stock trading. Tenev believes the infrastructure of cryptocurrency can make financial markets more accessible, efficient, and resilient.
In a recent discussion, Tenev pointed out that integrating stocks with blockchain networks could eliminate many inefficiencies in traditional trading systems, enabling seamless, round-the-clock asset trading. He emphasized that the 24/7 nature of crypto trading, shorter settlement times, and lower transaction costs are key advantages over traditional financial infrastructure.
Tenev stated that the barrier to widespread adoption of blockchain in traditional markets is not technological limitations, but rather the lack of regulatory clarity. He plans to attend the White House crypto summit later this week, advocating for clearer regulations to promote the use of blockchain technology in mainstream financial markets.
