TechFlow reports on February 24, according to PeckShield Alert monitoring, the recent attack on the Infini platform appears to have resulted from a leaked private key: 0xc49b...e3e1. The attacker used a wallet funded through Tornado Cash to carry out the attack and has already converted the stolen funds into DAI.
Latest monitoring shows that the attacker has exchanged 49.5 million DAI for approximately 17,700 ETH, transferring them to a new address: 0xfcc8a...6e49.
Infini has officially confirmed that the breach was caused by an engineer's operational error. The involved engineer has been detained, and the incident has been reported to the police. Previously, Infini founder Christian committed to full reimbursement even under the worst-case scenario.
