TechFlow reported on February 22 that NFT marketplace OpenSea announced it has received notice from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) confirming the termination of its investigation into the company, with no recommendation of enforcement action. Previously, OpenSea had received a Wells Notice from the SEC last year, when the regulator alleged that tokens on the platform constituted unregistered securities.
Previous report, Coinbase announced that the SEC has agreed to dismiss allegations that it operated an unregistered securities exchange, though approval from the commission is still pending.
