TechFlow reported that on February 21, Bybit issued an official statement saying its security team is collaborating with blockchain forensic experts to investigate the incident and welcomes teams experienced in blockchain analysis and fund recovery to assist in tracking the assets.
The platform emphasized that all other cold wallets remain secure, all customer funds are safe, and platform operations have not been affected. Bybit pledged to maintain transparency and provide further updates as soon as possible.
Earlier report, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou confirmed that a specific ETH cold wallet was hacked, while other cold wallets were unaffected.
