TechFlow reports, on February 20, according to Decrypt, UK police have arrested and charged two men suspected of defrauding a 75-year-old retired resident from Aberdeenshire of six-figure sums in cryptocurrency.
The case was reported in July 2024. Police Scotland’s North East Division, in collaboration with West Midlands Police and South Yorkshire Police, arrested a 54-year-old man in Coventry and a 36-year-old man in Mexborough. Both were charged on the same day.
