TechFlow news, according to Fortune, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said in an interview ahead of the Paris AI Summit that the new Trump administration has been a "breath of fresh air" for the tech industry, with its low-regulation policies bringing significant changes to Silicon Valley. Altman had previously donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund and co-announced with the president a $500 billion AI infrastructure project called Stargate.
Altman expressed optimism about the current outlook for the U.S. tech sector: "We can now rebuild semiconductor manufacturing capacity in the United States, develop robotics factories, build data centers, and advance new energy development." Last month, Altman wrote on social platform X: "I've recently watched the president more closely, and it genuinely changed my mind. I wish I had done more independent thinking back then. While I won't agree with him on every issue, I believe he will make the country better in many ways."
Silicon Valley is undergoing a noticeable shift in political alignment. Tech leaders including Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai, and Tim Cook all attended Trump's January inauguration ceremony.
