TechFlow news — On February 13, according to Cointelegraph, Sergei Potapenko and Ivan Turogin, co-founders of cryptocurrency mining service HashFlare, pleaded guilty on February 12 at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. They admitted to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud involving over $550 million.
As part of the plea agreement, both have agreed to forfeit all digital assets frozen by U.S. authorities. Sentencing is scheduled for May 8, and each faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
