TechFlow reports, according to an official announcement, the Ethereum Layer 2 network Optimism announced on February 6 the launch of a new round of Retro Funding program, allocating 8 million OP tokens to support the development of Superchain-based developer tools. This round focuses on development tools such as compilers, code libraries, and debuggers, spanning from February 5, 2025, to July 31, 2025.
All applying projects must be open-source and registered on the OP Atlas platform. Rewards will be distributed monthly starting in March. JavaScript and Rust projects must be adopted by at least three verified Superchain projects that have generated no less than 0.01 ETH in L2 gas fees within the past six months.
