TechFlow News — On February 6, according to Cointelegraph, Jesse Powell, co-founder of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, filed a lawsuit in San Francisco Superior Court alleging that the cooperative board of the apartment building at 2500 Steiner Street discriminated against him by blocking his home purchase.
The complaint states that reasons for Powell’s rejection included his association with the cryptocurrency industry, the FBI search of his residence in early 2023, and his support for conservative causes. Powell claims the building’s board rejected his application without providing clear justification. A 325-square-meter unit in the building is currently listed for nearly $10 million.
