TechFlow News, February 3 — Bybit CEO Ben Zhou disclosed that the actual liquidation volume in the crypto market over the past 24 hours could have reached $8–10 billion, far exceeding the figures shown on Coinglass. For Bybit alone, the actual liquidation amount reached $2.1 billion, while Coinglass displayed only $333 million.
Zhou explained that this discrepancy mainly stems from API limitations imposed by exchanges on the dissemination of liquidation data. To enhance market transparency, Bybit will begin pushing all liquidation data going forward.
