TechFlow reports on January 31, according to The Block, the Geth client—the official Go implementation of the Ethereum protocol—released version 1.14.13, codenamed "Schwarzschild." This update fixes a vulnerability (CVE-2025-24883) affecting the peer-to-peer (p2p) layer that could potentially lead to denial-of-service attacks on nodes and may impact Layer 2 clients. The Geth team recommends users running versions 1.14.0 and above (but below version 1.14.13) to upgrade. Nodes running v1.13.x are unaffected by this vulnerability.
