TechFlow news, January 31 — According to Bloomberg, FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried's parents are exploring the possibility of seeking a presidential pardon for their son from former U.S. President Donald Trump. SBF’s parents, Stanford Law School professors Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, have recently met with lawyers and other figures within Trump’s circle to discuss obtaining a pardon for their 32-year-old son, who has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. It remains unclear whether any contact has been made with the White House.
