TechFlow reported, according to The Block, that Injective has announced plans to launch native Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) support on its Layer 1 blockchain. According to the development team, this native EVM can theoretically achieve a maximum transaction throughput of up to 12,500 TPS, while mainnet simulations have shown it can support 320–800 TPS.
The new version will adopt the latest Geth client software, maintaining compatibility with existing Ethereum tools and standards. Notably, this is a fully embedded execution environment built directly into the chain's core infrastructure, eliminating reliance on external interoperability solutions. EVM developers will be able to leverage trading functionalities such as Injective’s on-chain order book.
