TechFlow news, January 24 — According to BlockWorks, Jump Crypto has filed a lawsuit against its former Firedancer lead software engineer Liam Heeger, accusing him of breaching non-compete agreements. Court documents reveal that during the Solana Breakpoint conference in September 2024, Heeger was representing Jump to present updates on Firedancer while secretly negotiating venture funding. The startup he later founded, Unto Labs, has secured $3 million in funding from investors including Framework Ventures, with a valuation of $50 million. Heeger left Jump in November 2024, claiming that relocating to California exempted him from non-compete restrictions. A spokesperson for Unto Labs denied the allegations.
