TechFlow News, January 20 — Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated on Twitter that he personally opposes the Ethereum Foundation delegating Ether staking through service providers. He believes the Foundation should uphold and support the principle of independent staking. Buterin pointed out that while staking pools benefit users who are unable to stake independently, the Ethereum Foundation holds more than 32 Ether and has professional node operators, so it does not fall into that category. He added that operating its own staking infrastructure would allow the Foundation to better understand in real time the technical issues that need to be addressed.
