TechFlow reports that on January 17, Griffin McShane, a former Coinbase employee, publicly questioned Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong on social media after his account was abruptly frozen for two months, preventing him from paying the deposit for his wedding venue. McShane emphasized that the account had always been used to receive his salary and conduct cryptocurrency transactions, including direct deposits of his paycheck during his employment at Coinbase, with no prior issues.
According to McShane, Coinbase imposed the freeze citing "user protection," yet offered no explanation or effective customer support throughout the two-month period. "It's unbelievable that the only suggested way to resolve this issue was to tag Brian and Coinbase on social media and hope they would notice," he said.
