TechFlow news, January 14 — According to Cryptoslate, on January 13, the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and the Bank of England announced the establishment of the Transatlantic Regulatory Exchange (TRE) collaboration initiative. The program will launch a 6- to 12-month regulatory staff exchange in February 2025, focusing on digital payments, distributed ledger technology, and digital assets.
Adrienne A. Harris, Superintendent of NYDFS, stated that strengthening regulatory collaboration between the financial hubs of New York and London is vital for a globally interconnected financial system. Sarah Breeden, Deputy Governor for Financial Stability at the Bank of England, emphasized that this initiative will support digital financial innovation while safeguarding financial stability.
