TechFlow News, January 13 — According to Fortune, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has praised Elon Musk for making significant advances in artificial intelligence. Huang stated that as an NVIDIA customer, Musk holds a major advantage in collecting real-world data, citing Tesla's AI factories, autonomous driving algorithms, and its vast vehicle fleet.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg Television at CES, Huang said: "Musk is in an extremely strong position, and he's been working on this for a very long time. So he'll be in a very favorable place to leverage these advantages." Huang also commended Musk's efforts in advancing AI, including his work on cognitive intelligence at the xAI startup, autonomous driving at Tesla, and the development of the Optimus humanoid robot.
"These three areas are the most important domains in artificial intelligence, and he's doing exactly the right things," Huang said. While Huang believes Musk will have a lasting impact on the AI industry, he also predicted a shift in computing: "In the coming years, you will see a transition from old-style computing, general-purpose computing, to this new form of computing—artificial intelligence and accelerated computing."
