TechFlow reported on January 6 that, according to CoinDesk, Dutch regulators have granted EU MiCA licenses to cryptocurrency platform MoonPay, digital asset management firm BitStaete, Bitcoin lightning network-powered payment platform ZBD, and brokerage and clearing firm Hidden Road, allowing them to operate across all 27 EU member states.
MiCA allows companies to obtain a CASP license from any one EU member country to operate throughout the bloc. Additionally, Socios.com announced it has received Class 3 Virtual Financial Assets Act (VFAA) licensing from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). Meanwhile, the UK added GSR Markets to its crypto registration list by the end of 2024.
