This marks the third time Berkshire has increased its stake in the company since December 2024, having previously invested $45 million to acquire 234,000 shares from December 17 to 19, and $28.55 million to buy 143,424 shares before December 24.
Notably, VeriSign not only leads in the domain name registration service sector but also holds a patent for applying blockchain technology to domain names. The company's gross margin reached 88.02% in the third quarter, ranking 11th among S&P 500 components.
