TechFlow news, January 2 — According to GlobeNewswire, Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms has released its latest monthly production report. The company mined 211 BTC in December 2024, up from 207 BTC in November, reflecting a 4% increase in average operational hash rate and a 7% rise in Bitcoin network difficulty. As of December 31, 2024, the company’s operational hash rate reached 12.8 EH/s, representing a 97% year-over-year growth. Year-to-date, Bitfarms has produced a total of 4,928 BTC.
In addition, Bitfarms sold 147 out of the 211 BTC earned through its regular treasury management activities, generating $14.3 million in proceeds. The company holds total liquidity of $147 million, including approximately $60 million in cash as of December 31, 2024. Bitfarms added 64 BTC to its treasury, bringing its total holdings to 934 BTC, valued at approximately $87.8 million.
