TechFlow reports that on December 26, on-chain investigator ZachXBT disclosed Animoca co-founder Yat Siu may have fallen victim hours earlier to the same phishing email attack previously targeting multiple X accounts including Kick, Cursor, and The Arena, as fraudulent tokens were deployed from the same address.
Earlier reports indicated that over the past month, a hacker has compromised more than 15 X accounts to carry out scams, affecting high-profile accounts such as Kick, Cursor, Alex Blania, The Arena, and Brett. The hacker used fake copyright infringement emails impersonating the X team to conduct phishing attacks, stole user credentials, and launched meme coin scams, earning approximately $500,000 in total.
