TechFlow reports that on December 21, Unichain released its phased roadmap for the mainnet launch. The roadmap consists of three stages:
The first stage is the current testnet phase, during which infrastructure providers are actively conducting tests;
The second stage is the mainnet launch, scheduled to begin enabling permissionless fraud proofs on January 6, 2025. After verification is complete, full access will be opened, allowing users to directly bridge funds, followed by the rollout of the Rollup-Boost feature;
The third stage will introduce an experimental testnet incorporating Flashblocks technology to reduce block generation time to 250 milliseconds, and will launch the Unichain validator network for community participation in node testing.
The team stated that all new features will only be deployed to the mainnet for production use after thorough validation on the experimental testnet and the Sepolia testnet.
