TechFlow news, on December 19, according to Bitcoin Magazine, the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) announced a new round of its Bitcoin Development Fund grant program, donating a total of 7 BTC (approximately $706,000) to 20 projects worldwide. These projects are primarily focused on Latin America, Asia, and Africa, covering technological education under authoritarian regimes, independent media operations, decentralized mining, and providing more private financial solutions for human rights organizations.
Grantees include the Stratum V2 Reference Implementation (SRI) developed by bit-aloo, Public Pool—an open-source mining pool designed for low-hashrate devices, Naiyoma—the first female African Bitcoin Core developer, Bitcoin Core contributor Daniela Brozzoni, Bitcoin Core mobile UI/UX design, and Tando, a payment application based in Kenya. HRF stated that the funds will support project development, operational costs, and community-building efforts to promote the global adoption and advancement of Bitcoin.
