TechFlow News, December 19 — According to Cointelegraph, Rune Christensen, co-founder of Sky, stated in an end-of-year update released today that the team will dedicate more effort in 2025 to fully migrate MKR to SKY, partly to help eliminate confusion between the MKR and SKY tokens.
Christensen emphasized this move would not leave MKR token holders at a financial loss, adding, "Instead, upcoming proposals will make migration a requirement to unlock usability from the token."
Christensen said further updates and details regarding the migration and conversion from MKR to SKY will be shared at some point in 2025. He added, "Our goal is to ensure CoinGecko and exchanges support only SKY, with MKR serving merely as a legacy wrapper, where each MKR represents 24,000 SKY."
