TechFlow news, December 16 — Suji Yan, founder of Mask Network, posted that Pudgy Penguins toys in multiple physical stores in New York have been destructively unpacked and their QR codes stolen. "These photos are from shops in New York. Some Web2.5 friends wanted to buy a few penguin toys, but all the boxes had been opened and the QR codes were completely gone," Suji Yan said. "I've been giving out penguin toys to my team and friends. Many Web2 creators may have lost their QR codes, but they genuinely appreciate the penguin concept. Suddenly, an airdrop prompted speculators to rush into Walmart and do these meaningless things."
It is reported that since buyers of Pudgy Penguins toys will receive token airdrops once the Abstract Chain mainnet launches, some speculators have rushed into Walmart stores to steal the QR codes inside the toys. Suji Yan urged the crypto community to condemn such theft and ensure the toys return to users who truly love them.
