TechFlow reports on December 13 that Casey Caruso, former Google engineer, has founded a cryptocurrency venture capital fund called Topology Ventures, which has raised $75 million. The fund will invest in frontier technologies including artificial intelligence, decentralized networks, neurotechnology, aerospace, and robotics.
Cendana Capital and Accolade Partners are the primary investors in the fund, whose subscriptions reached three times its original target. Other limited partners include Marc Andreessen of a16z, Bob Goodman, managing partner at Bessemer, Ethan Kurzweil—formerly of Bessemer and now leading Chemistry fund—co-founder of OpenAI, co-author of GPT-4, and Paris Hilton.
