TechFlow news — On December 11, according to Cointelegraph, Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar announced that the state will incorporate blockchain technology into its election certification process. The move aims to enhance election credibility and ensure a transparent and trustworthy certification process. The system will create an immutable ledger of election records, which will be officially activated after verification by state and national archives.
Previously, Nevada filed a lawsuit in 2023 against six Republican-certified "fake electors" who were accused of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, though the case was later dismissed by a court. Alaska and Georgia have already launched similar pilot projects, while several other states are advancing related proposals.
