TechFlow news — On December 8, according to Cointelegraph, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a vote on December 11 regarding the reappointment of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, sparking strong concerns within the crypto industry.
Coinbase President Emilie Choi publicly stated on December 7 that Crenshaw not only opposes cryptocurrencies but also objected to the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs in January this year. Bloomberg ETF analyst Seyffart noted that Crenshaw has demonstrated a more strongly anti-crypto stance than SEC Chair Gensler, with her objection letter failing to gain support even from another opponent, Lizárraga.
