TechFlow news, on December 4, according to Cointelegraph, Grayscale has submitted an application for a spot Solana ETF to the SEC. If approved, the Grayscale Solana Trust Fund will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GSOL. According to the filing, Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC will serve as custodian and BNY Mellon Asset Servicing will act as administrator if the application is approved.
It is reported that over the past year, multiple firms including 21Shares, VanEck, Bitwise Asset Management, and Canary Capital have been seeking to launch spot Solana ETFs.
