TechFlow news, December 3 — According to CCTV International News, the Republic of Korea Martial Law Command issued Martial Law Order No. 1, announcing the following measures effective at 23:00 on December 3, 2024, nationwide:

All political activities, including those of the National Assembly and local councils, political parties, political associations, gatherings, demonstrations, are prohibited.

All acts denying or attempting to subvert the liberal democratic system, as well as dissemination of fake news, fabrication of public opinion, and false incitement, are prohibited.

All speech and publications are placed under control of the Martial Law Command.

Strikes, work stoppages, and gatherings that cause social disorder are prohibited.

All medical personnel currently on strike or absent from their posts—including interns and resident physicians—must return to work within 48 hours; otherwise, they will be punished according to the Martial Law Act.

Ordinary citizens, except for anti-state or regime-subverting forces, will experience minimal disruption to daily life.
Individuals violating the above martial law orders may, under Article 9 (Special Powers of the Martial Law Commander) of the Republic of Korea Martial Law Act, be arrested, detained, searched, and seized without a warrant, and punished in accordance with Article 14 of the Martial Law Act.
