TechFlow reports that on November 26, according to Cointelegraph, Maya Parbhoe, CEO of Daedalus Labs and a presidential election candidate in Suriname's 2025 election, recently unveiled her campaign vision aiming to transform Suriname into a nation adopting the Bitcoin standard, surpassing El Salvador in digitalization.
Parbhoe stated that upon election, she will push for Bitcoin to become legal tender, gradually replacing the Surinamese dollar with satoshis within the first year, and ensuring all salaries are paid in Bitcoin. Her reform agenda also includes dissolving the central bank, cutting taxes, privatizing public services, and issuing national Bitcoin bonds.
